The Stream Deck MK.2 is the current baseline model in Elgato’s control surface lineup — 15 programmable LCD keys over USB, a size that fits most single-operator streaming and podcasting setups without the added density (and cost) of the XL. Each key triggers actions through Elgato’s plugin ecosystem, covering OBS, Streamlabs, Twitch, YouTube, Spotify, and smart-home integrations like Philips Hue.

The MK.2’s main hardware update over earlier 15-key revisions is a removable faceplate, letting the physical unit be re-skinned without affecting the electronics underneath — a minor but relevant detail for anyone speccing units for a studio where the surface needs to match different branding or setups.
