The M4250-26G4XF-POE+ sits above the M4250-26G4F-POE+ in NETGEAR’s AV Line, with the same 24-port PoE+ layout but a larger 480W PoE budget and SFP+ (10 Gbps-capable) uplinks instead of SFP. That higher PoE budget matters when a deployment’s PoE draw would exceed the 300W budget of the standard -26G4F model — more simultaneously powered encoders/decoders, PTZ cameras, or other PoE+ endpoints on one switch — and the SFP+ uplinks give more headroom for uplink/trunk traffic between switches in larger multi-zone installs.
It also ships with pre-configured profiles for common AV networking protocols — Dante, AES67, and AVB — which reduces the manual multicast/QoS configuration otherwise needed to run professional audio networking reliably alongside video traffic on the same switch. As with the -26G4F model, its physical layout (rear-facing ports on the unit) is designed for clean integration into an AV rack rather than a standard server rack.
